Jashn e Jazib Qureshi



The second half of the literary program was dubbed Jashn e Jazib Qureshi.  Renowned Urdu poet Jazib Qureshi, visiting from Karachi, enthralled the audience of over 50 reading his poetry for over forty minutes.

Want young blood in politics?  Help Aziz Akbari become the mayor of Fremont.  Akbari, the youngest candidate in the race, attended the dinner arranged for the Pakistani ambassador, and explained to listening ears his program to revive Fremont’s economy.


Over one hundred people gathered to listen to Pakistan’s ambassador to the US, Sherry Rehman.


Consul General Riffat Masood made introductory remarks at the community dinner arranged for Ambassador Sherry Rehman.



Sherry Rehman, with hubby Nadeem Hussain, listens to the American and Pakistani anthems played at the community dinner arranged in her honor.


On August 21, Ambassador Sherry Rehman, in an effort to reach out to the Pakistani community in the US, made a stop in the San Francisco Bay Area and spoke to a group of Pakistani-American community leaders.
